Hello Students, Colleagues and Friends,
Here are the courses we are running in February. Please scroll to the bottom of this page to enrol via an online form.
The online sessions are open to anyone who wants to participate, regardless of geographical location.
The face-to-face sessions are limited to people with a connection to South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, as a service user, carer/friend/family member or a member of the trust staff. As the impact of the pandemic reduces, we will be adding more face-to-face sessions into the timetable.

Face-to-Face Courses at the ORTUS- for people connected to SLaM
Venue
ORTUS Conference and Events Venue
82-96 Grove Lane
London
SE5 8SN
The ORTUS is at the back of the Maudsley Hospital campus in Camberwell.
As the college is part of the services offered by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, we need to follow the current NHS Covid safety rules. Within our classrooms, this means that all students and trainers will need to always maintain 2 metres social distance and wear face coverings. The college will provide disposable face coverings at both venues for those who do not have them, and hand sanitizers to use throughout the time you spend with our team. At the present time, we are unable to make an exception for anyone who thinks they won’t be able to tolerate wearing a face covering.
- Understanding Psychosis
- Alcohol friend or foe | 10am-4pm | Friday 18th February
- Understanding Anxiety | 1:330pm-4:30pm | Friday 25th February

Come and Meet Us at Ortus
Venue: ORTUS (Mezzanine), 82-96 Grove Lane, SE5 8SN (back of the Maudsley Hospital campus). ORTUS website: http://www.ortusevents.com/
SLaM Recovery College team members will be present on the mezzanine floor at the Ortus from 10am-4:00pm every Monday. This is an opportunity for any current or potential students to have an informal chat with members of the training team about the recovery college and what is on offer. We will be in the middle of the mezzanine at the large table with a banner, so you won’t be able to miss us!
The team members can also support students to complete an online enrolment if they need some assistance. We hope that, as the impact of the pandemic lessens, we can expand this service to all of SLaM’s boroughs.
